Kinder Prep / Pre-K Classroom (Ages 4–5)
Our Kinder Prep/Pre-K Classroom is designed for older 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds who are ready for a more advanced, kindergarten-style experience. This program builds on the strong foundation of Pre-K and prepares children for a confident, successful start to elementary school.
We combine a nurturing environment with a more structured, academic focus — always keeping learning hands-on, fun, and developmentally appropriate.
Kindergarten-Level Learning
Our Kinder Prep students dive deeper into early academics, with a curriculum that mirrors many core elements of kindergarten:
Counting, number sense, and basic math operations
Writing letters, names, and simple sentences
Phonics and early reading strategies
Early science exploration and critical thinking
Journal writing and story sequencing
All lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, with activities that help children understand concepts in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.

Optional Homework
For families who are interested, we offer optional homework to help reinforce classroom learning at home. This can include simple worksheets, reading logs, or family-friendly learning activities that align with what we’re doing in class.
Nap Time & Balance
Even as we prepare for the next academic step, we still honor each child’s need for rest. Kinder Prep students have a daily nap or quiet rest period, helping them recharge and stay emotionally regulated throughout the day.
Social, Emotional & Leadership Skills
Our older students are encouraged to take on more responsibility and leadership roles in the classroom. We help them:
- Practice teamwork and conflict resolution
- Build empathy and resilience
- Take pride in their accomplishments and contributions
- Prepare socially and emotionally for the expectations of kindergarten
Family Communication
We keep families informed and involved with daily updates via our communication app. You’ll receive insight into your child’s academic progress, nap time, meals, and classroom moments. We welcome family collaboration and encourage open, ongoing communication.
